A Tale of Two fronts
February 2022
Written for the Detweiler Composition Competition in 2022, this winning composition takes the listener along a programmatic journey to the Suffolk coast, where Daniel visited following the COVID lockdowns. Daniel visited Southwold, which had a sandy beach and Aldeburgh with a pebble and shingle beach. The whole day saw story seas as a weather front passed along the coast. This work is written for reduced orchestra.
